LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS…
  •      This is something you will never see in the news. Here's a tough, but heartwarming story and a picture of John Gebhardt in Iraq. His wife, Mindy, related that this little girl's entire family was executed. They intended to execute her also and shot her in the head, but they failed to kill her. She was cared for by John's hospital and  is healing, but has been crying and moaning. The nurses said John is the only one she seems to calm down with, so John has spent the last four nights holding her while they both sleep in that chair. The girl is coming along with her healing.

LOVE FULFILLS THE LAW

  • AS - “IN EVERYTHING, THEREFORE, TREAT OTHER PEOPLE THE SAME WAY YOU WANT THEM TO TREAT YOU, FOR THIS IS THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS.”
  •                              -MATTHEW 7:12-Jesus
21
LOVE FULFILLS THE LAW
  • “The entire law is summed up in a SINGLE COMMAND:  “Love your neighbor AS yourself.”  If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.”               -Galatians 5:14-15

AS YOURSELF…
  •   We are put on this earth, not to see thru each other, but to see each other through.

The Most Important Things
  • #3 The Point of God’s Love in the Greatest Commandments
24
I John 4:7-8
  • “My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God.  Everyone who loves is born of  God and experiences a relationship with God.  The one who refuses to love doesn’t know the first thing about God, because God is love– so you can’t know Him if you don’t love.”…
25
I John 4:9-10
  • “This is how God showed His love: God sent His only Son into the world so we might live through Him.  This it the kind of love we are talking about – not that we once upon a time loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they’ve done to our relationship with God.” -The Message
26
I John 4:11-12,16-17
  • “My dear, dear friends,  if God loved us like this, we certainly ought to love each other.  No one has seen God, ever.  But if we love one another, God dwells deeply within us, and His love becomes complete in us- perfect love!
  • God is love.  When we take up permanent residence in a life of love, we live in God and God lives in us.”
27
Matthew 22:40
  • “On These Two Commandments depend the Whole Law and The Prophets.”

  • In these two commandments all of God’s purpose for mankind is found.

  • If you Love God, you will love OTHERS.

  • As you love PEOPLE, you are also loving JESUS.
